Today I had soooooo much fun...
I uded to play this creative game as a kid a lot.... making marks and trying to figure out images.
You know what I mean I suppose...
You take a piece of paper, you throw colors here and there and then you fold the paper in half, press and finally open again to discover the result!!!
I think I'll do another one tomorrow!! Yeap!!!!!

Today I had no inspiration at all!!
I was looking at the blank page with an empty mind and heart.
Difficult, very difficult...
At last I decided to let it go.
After altering different painting materials (acrylics, inks, oil pastels, markers) for three times each, I ended up with this one.
Wondering, can you really call this a map?

In this page I was just experimenting with texture...
I started with watersoluble pencils, then markers, gel pens, ink and finally acrylics.

I have done these two sketches some time ago.
I printed them, I glued them to my background and then I reworked with acrylic paints.
The little boat at the bottom of the page is an embroidery that I have made when I was 6 years old!

When I start a page in my journal I have nothing in mind.
The image reveales itself during the process.
I would like to talk  a little bit about my technique.
I start by preparing some pages with colors and different textures.
When I start painting I choose the background that suits my mood.
I let it happen, I follow my instict adding paint, collage, lettering.

This morning I got out of bed, grabbed a huge cup of coffee and then my pencils, brushes, colors and journal. I called it "morning ritual" hoping that this project will become one.... Who nows...

Starting the year with a challenge....

Όπως και το 2016 έτσι και φέτος συμμετέχω στο "30 paintings in 30 days" της Leslie Saeta.
Αυτή τη φορά δεν έχω θέμα, ούτε πρόγραμμα.
Κάτω από τον γενικό τίτλο "Art just for the fun of it"
Θα αφήσω τα υλικά και την φωνούλα μέσα μου να με οδηγήσουν όπου θέλουν αυτά!
Στην ουσία είναι ένα εικαστικό ημερολόγιο 30 (ελπίζω) ημερών.
Για να δούμε λοιπόν...
Ας ξεκινήσω με άλλη μια ευχή!

1. Καλή χρονιά / Happy New Year

I'm starting my creative year with Leslie Saeta's challenge "30 paintings in 30 days", again..
This time there is no programm or theme, I'll just let myself free and play under the general title
"Art just for the fun of it".
Actually is an art journal of 30 days. To be continued...
