"Going.... nowhere!!"

Yes!!!!! I did it.... I can't believe it!
Exhausted but I dit it!!!
The last two paintings I wanted to paint them together in order to create some kind of diptych,
while they stand as two defferent paintings on their own.
I used acrylics and Art stix.

It was a great journey, thanks to Leslie Saeta...
I learned a lot, I played, I was happy and I tried new things. Can I ask for more?? Of course not....
I need a little break now, but there are a lot of other things that I want to share with you, so keep in touch....
And thank you very very much to follow me on this challenge!!

"The map"
This morning I had no idea what to paint (once more) so I started drawing lines with wax and watercolors...
Then I dropped some ink, added color touches with soft pastels and finished the painting with white acrylic paint and lines again.

"Upside down"
Earlier this morning as I was looking to some notes for my courses I discovered a sketch of an hybiscus in a bottle... I decided to paint that for today. The title is because I turned the sketch upside down...
Wax, watercolors and soft pastels, I love this technique, as well as the painting knife that I used a lot on this project.

"Cityscape"
This painting is inspired from the view of my window.
Night scene I think, painted with wax, watercolors and soft pastels.
It is really very deliberated not to have any subject in mind, just seek the inspiration of the day.

Abstracting the human figure it's a rather difficult procedure...
I tried here to capture the feeling of a woman lost in her thοughts.

"The bonjo player"
Day 15 is actually half way through the project!!! Wow!!
I have already learned a lot of things....
I'll write all of my thoughts and conclusions about my journey through abstracts in the last day, so be patient and stay tuned!!

"The rose"
Yesterday I was fascinated, today I was frustraded... That's the "life of an artsit".....
As I was looking for my subject I felt that the series story narrows my possibilities...
I was very srtessed, I coudn't finf anything to please me so I painted the center of a rose.
Easy subject, I thougt, but guess what.... It wasn't... mostly because I wasn;t painting it from my heart!!!
So I covered everything with white acrylic and then I took my painting knive at hand.....
et voila!!!!
Decided to stop the series and paint whatever each day brings to mind and heart... whether is from my sketchbook, from nature or from my dreams...!!

Abstracting nature 2 • "The path"
Very simple technique for today, just art stix (of Prismacolor) and some indian ink...
It's really amazing how it turned out this one, I coudn't beleive it myself.
I started looking for patterns in the tree tronc and then I just followed my imagination.
Day 12 and I'm facsinated by this project!!

Abstracting nature 1 • "Alter ego"
At last!
I'm on time after a very difficult day!! I had to do a lot of things, plus a lack of inspiration... you don't need more to find yourself at the end of the day in front of a white paper....
After a long thought I decided to abstract nature forms.
It's challenging enough I think, because organic forms have allready some kind of abstraction.
That makes me want to go a step further...
For today my model was a seashell and I painted with art stix, watercolor and acrylics using a painting knive.

In the first step I drew with my eyes closed and a charcoal.

In the second step I chose a square inside the lines and I added color with gouache.

From my sketchbook 4 • "Le petit navire"
Today I painted with my "wrong hand", that means the left one. I used a big brush and let the watercolors imerge one to another.
It's a very amusing procedure....
I used wax white crayon, watercolors and soft pastel.
Wondering... is that really an abstract?? What do you think??

Not so much to say about today's painting except that I used a very limitted palette.
Just red, black, white and a bit of green.
Technique: Random lines with a wax crayon, watercolors, soft pastel and white acrylic.
As for the initial sketch, I'm not really sure that I can call it that way.
Better to say "a happy moment of nonsense".... Enjoy!!

Another sketch became today's inspiration. This sketch was done with my "wrong hand".
Started the painting with oil pastels, continued with watercolors and finished with acrylics and a painting knive as well!!

From my sketchbook 1 • "Poppies"
For the next five paintings I decided to dig in my sketchbooks and crop my sketches in order to achieve abstract compositions.
In each painting I'll post the initial sketch as well.
So, here is my first attempt. Comments are welcome...
Technique: charcoal drawing, watercolor underpainting and acrylics using a painting knive which I think is very challenging to create abstract marks!

Today I painted with exacltly tha same technique as yesterday, just added a small sponge together with the brushwork.
It's the last painting of the dripping series, I'm wondering about tomorrow....

Drippings 4 • A bunch of flowers
Hello to everyboby, wish you a very pleasent and creative week!
I started this painting by drawing random lines with a white wax crayon.
Then I dripped watercolors, moved the paper as usual, painted some very loose lines with my brush and finally added some details with oil pastels.

Drippings 3 • Summer Breeze
I started my painting with blue turquoise and yellow ink. Then I worked the wet surface with a painting knive adding a bit of acrylics here and there.
Day by day ideas are flowing in my mind about my abstracts and I'm trilled about it!
Really wondering  to see where the whole project will end up....

Drippings 2 • Joy
In today's painting I started by creating a colorful background with acrylics.
Then I dripped different inks and moved the paper in defferent directions in order to let the drippings go around. I finished the painting using a toothpick again, dragging the wet ink outside the color spots.

For all paintings in the series I'm using watercolor paper 300 to 400 gram.
As I already said they are all for sale in one unique price of 45,00 e., each.
For handling and shipping the prices are:

"30 paintings in 30 days" challege!! • Day 1

Happy New Year to all!
I'm following Leslie Saeta's challenge to start the year in a very creative mood!
I decided to go abstract. It's an oportunity for me to try something out of my comfort zone. I have already done experiments in the past, but never really paint abstract.
I'm thinking to work in 6 series of 5 paintings exlporing different approaches, techniques and color schemes.
They will have all the same size, that is 15 X 15 cm and they will be for sale through internet. More about this tomorrow.
In the first series I'm starting with drippings.
In Day 1 painting I worked with black ink drippings and then with watercolors and acrylics using brushes, sponges and a toothpick as well!
